How to choose

Made just for you

When we propose to create a completely customized bike or replace a specific component, we’re trying to adapt the world’s most versatile means of transportation to your needs. We customize bikes by listening to your desires and advising you, based on our experience, on what we believe is the best solution, always hoping that the two go hand in hand.

The frame

Choose a frame not just because you like the color, but thinking about how you want to use the bicycle, whether you need mounts for racks and various accessories, whether you’re doing a one-hour workout or a world tour.

The handlebar

The handlebar and your position on the bike are closely linked; there are aerodynamic handlebars, multi-position ones, for off-road, for long trips. An endless array of possibilities that must be chosen carefully.

The drivetrain

Triple chainring, double chainring, single chainring, gear ratios, prioritizing speed, thinking about that impossible hill with a loaded bike, minimizing maintenance, prioritizing lightness. The ideal drivetrain doesn’t exist, but with some math and a bit of experience, we can choose together how to move your new bicycle.

Brakes

Without disc brakes, it seems you can’t go anywhere. Sure, they’re better than the braking systems you all know, but they’re not mandatory. Choose hydraulic ones if you want maximum power, mechanical if you want to handle maintenance yourself. And are rim brakes really to be thrown away? We don’t think so, they’re fine as long as you adjust them properly and remember that when braking, not only do the brake pads wear out, but the rims do too, and eventually, they need to be replaced.

Wheels and tires

Think of them as the shoes of the bike, the wheels are the upper and the tires are the sole. We’ve talked about wheels here (link to wheel section), but choosing a tire can be tricky, with countless designs, sizes, treads, and weights. But don’t worry, fortunately, tires wear out and are replaced more often than the bike, so if you made the wrong choice, it’s not a big deal.

Accessories

By definition, accessories are not strictly part of the bicycle. No worries, choosing the right accessory can change the way you ride: comfortable grips, a sturdy rack, a powerful light, a seat that can be mounted and dismounted in five minutes. The topic is vast, don’t be discouraged, we’re here to turn your wishes into reality.
